The analytics report shows how often your sliders are seen and used: views, slide changes, images opened in the lightbox, video plays and clicks, per day, per slider and per image. Only counts are stored – no cookies, no IP addresses, nothing that identifies a visitor. This guide explains each part of the report and the settings behind it.
What You’ll Learn
- What is counted, and what is not
- How to read the daily chart and the tables
- The counting settings
- Exporting and deleting the data
What Is Counted
- Views – a slider was seen on a page.
- Interactions – a visitor changed slides, opened an image in the lightbox, played a video, or clicked a slide link.
Each count is a number per day, slider, kind of event and image. There is no visitor record, so the data holds no personal information and needs no cookie banner.
Reading the Report
Open Gallery Slider > Performance & Analytics and choose a range: the last 7, 30 or 90 days.
- By day – views and interactions for each day of the range, so you can spot a change after you edit a page or add a slider.
- Sliders – every slider with its views, interactions and interactions per view. A high rate means visitors actively browse that slider; a low one on a busy page may mean the slider is overlooked, or that the first image already says enough.
- Images – the images most often opened, played or clicked, which tells you what your visitors look at most.
Saved sliders are listed by their name; galleries inside a page are listed by the page and their order on it.
Counting Settings
- Count views and interactions – turns counting on or off. When it is off, the report shows the data already collected.
- Do not count logged-in editors and administrators – on by default, so your own checks do not inflate the numbers.
- Do not count visitors who send Do Not Track – on by default.
- Keep the Counts – older counts are deleted every day after this many days (90 by default).
Exporting and Deleting
Under Maintenance, Download CSV exports the counts for a spreadsheet, and Delete all data removes every count and starts again from zero.
