Moving to Pro does not start you over. Pro uses the same results, scan history, and options as the free version, so you pick up where you left off. This guide walks through the upgrade.
What You’ll Learn
- What to install
- What happens to the free plugin
- What you keep
- What to do first in Pro
Install Pro
Download the Pro ZIP from your account on developry.com. In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, install it, and activate it.
The Free Plugin
Free and Pro cannot run together. Activating Pro deactivates the free version, and you can delete it afterwards. Deleting the free plugin while Pro is installed keeps the shared data.
What You Keep
The scan results, the scan history behind Analytics, the first-seen dates, your dismissed links, and your options (Check External Links, Exclude URLs, and Compact Mode). Nothing is lost, and nothing needs to be scanned again.
First Steps in Pro
- Open Broken Links > License and activate your license key.
- Open Options and look at the new settings: post types, assets, soft 404, mixed content, the editor panel, scheduled scans, and the 404 Monitor.
- Run a new scan so the new checks see your site.
- Try a bulk action on a filter you already know, for example Redirects.
See Fixing many links at once with bulk actions and Redirecting a broken link to a new page.
This is available in Broken Link Fixer Free and Broken Link Fixer Pro.
