Broken Link Fixer Pro

Broken Link Fixer Pro adds redirects, a 404 monitor, bulk fixes, analytics, scheduled scans, deeper checks, and WP-CLI on top of the free version’s broken link scanner – built for sites, stores, and agencies that want broken links found, fixed, and kept from coming back.

Key Features

Everything in the free version, plus:

  • Redirects – send an old address to a new one with a 301, 302, 307, or 308, matching the exact address, everything that starts with it, or a regular expression, with hit counts, enable and disable, CSV import and export, and loops refused
  • 404 Monitor – see the missing addresses visitors ask for, how often, and where they came from, with a suggested page to redirect each one to – only the address is stored, with no IP address, user agent, or query string
  • Bulk fix – tick links or select every link in a filter, then use the redirect target, change the URL, redirect to a page on your site, unlink, recheck, or dismiss them all at once, with a progress bar
  • Web archive copies – for a dead link to another website, find a saved copy in the Internet Archive and point the link to it – off until you turn it on, and nothing is looked up by itself
  • Analytics – a link health score with its change since the last scan, the trend of broken links, warnings, and redirects, what you fixed, the pages and websites with the most broken links, and how long links have been broken
  • Scheduled scans and email reports – scan the whole site daily, weekly, or monthly at the hour you choose, in small background steps that pick up where they stopped, with a summary of the new broken links sent to up to five addresses
  • Deeper checks – stylesheets, scripts, fonts, iframes, video and audio, video posters, icons, and the social sharing image, so a broken file that breaks a layout is found too
  • Soft 404 detection – pages that answer 200 but say they were not found, parked or expired domains, and addresses that redirect to the homepage are marked for you to look at, and redirect loops and long chains are reported
  • Mixed content check – on an https site, find the images, stylesheets, scripts, iframes, and media a page loads over http, see whether the https address works, and switch them over in one action
  • Post types and custom fields – scan custom post types, products, and portfolio items, and fix links that live in custom fields, including ACF fields
  • Editor panel – a Broken links panel in the block editor sidebar and the pre-publish checklist, and a box in the Classic Editor, that checks the post as you write it, saved or not
  • WP-CLI commands – scan with --fail-on=broken so a deployment check can fail on broken links, then list, fix, unlink, recheck, and dismiss links, and manage redirects and the 404 monitor, from the terminal or CI
  • CSV export and Multisite – export the links of any filter with the pages they are on, and on a network scan every site from one Network Admin page and export all their links to one file
  • Request throttle – a pause between requests, to protect small servers and keep sites that block fast scanners from blocking you
  • Priority email support – and first-release access to new features

How It Works

  1. Purchase and install Broken Link Fixer Pro, then activate your license under Broken Links > License
  2. Open Options to choose the post types, the checks, and the scan schedule
  3. Click Scan Site, or Scan in the Background, and review the Broken, Warning, Redirect, Soft 404, and Mixed content tabs
  4. Fix many links at once with the bulk actions, or redirect a missing page from the 404 Monitor in a click
  5. Open Analytics to see your link health over time, and let scheduled scans email you when something new breaks

Who It’s For

  • Content sites and blogs – years of posts with links that died, fixed in bulk instead of one at a time
  • WooCommerce stores and catalogs – redirect removed products and moved categories before shoppers hit a 404
  • Agencies – scheduled scans with an email report, and a link check that runs in the deployment pipeline
  • Developers – the same scanner and fixes from WP-CLI, with exit codes and JSON for CI
  • Editors and writers – a check inside the editor, so a broken link is caught before the post goes live
  • Multisite networks – every site scanned and exported from one page

Free vs. Pro

Broken Link Fixer Free scans posts and pages, finds broken links and images, and lets you edit, unlink, recheck, or dismiss them one at a time. Pro adds redirects, the 404 monitor, bulk fixes, web archive copies, analytics, scheduled scans and email reports, deeper checks, soft 404 and mixed content detection, custom post types and custom fields, the editor panel, WP-CLI, CSV export, Multisite, and priority support.

Installation

  1. Upload the plugin ZIP via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, then activate it
  2. Go to Broken Links > License and activate your license key
  3. Review your options, then click Scan Site on the Broken Links page

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I keep my results if I upgrade from the free version?

Yes – Pro uses the same results, scan history, and options as the free version, so everything you already have is still there. Use one or the other – activating Pro deactivates the free version.

Will Pro slow down my site?

No – scans only run when you start them or when they are scheduled, in small steps. On the front end, a redirect is a quick indexed lookup on each page request, and the 404 Monitor only writes when a page is not found.

Does Pro send my data to an outside service?

No – Pro reads your own pages and checks the addresses on them. The one optional exception is web archive copies: when you turn it on and use it, the broken address, and only that address, is sent to the Internet Archive to ask whether a saved copy exists.

Does the 404 Monitor track my visitors?

No – only the missing address, how often it was asked for, and the page the visitor came from are stored. There is no IP address, no user agent, and no query string. Crawlers and logged-in editors are left out by default, and old rows are removed automatically.

What happens when my license expires?

Your redirects and the 404 log keep working on the front end, so visitors are never sent to a broken page. The plugin pages, bulk actions, and scans are locked until you renew, and you can still open the License and Help pages.

Does it fix links inside Elementor pages?

Links built with page builders are stored in the builder data, not in the post content, so the results point those pages to Search & Replace for Elementor, which is made for exactly that.

What happens to my data if I delete the plugin?

Deactivating keeps everything. Deleting the plugin removes the scan results, the history, the redirects, the 404 log, and the options, on every site of a network, so export your redirects to CSV first if you want to keep them.

Can I use one license on multiple sites?

Yes – choose the multiple-sites or unlimited-sites license to cover more than one site under a single subscription.
