When a page on your https site loads an image, script, or stylesheet over plain http, browsers block it or drop the padlock. Broken Link Fixer Pro finds those files and the https address for each. This guide shows how to switch them over.

What Mixed Content Is
Mixed content is a file loaded over http:// by a page that was loaded over https://. It matters because browsers may block the file, so an image or a layout breaks with no error on your server, and the page loses its secure padlock. A link to an http page is not mixed content, because the visitor leaves your page.
What the Scan Checks
The check works only when your site address uses https, and it looks at the images, stylesheets, scripts, iframes, video, and audio a page loads. For each http file that works, it also asks for the https address. Turn it off under Mixed Content Check in Options.
Switching to https
Open the Mixed content filter. Each row says it is loaded over http on an https page, and whether the https address works. When it does, Edit URL starts with that address, or select the files and choose Use the redirect target in the bulk actions to change them all.
Run a Recheck afterwards, or a new scan, to confirm that the list is empty.
No https Address
If the message says there is no https address, the other website does not serve the file securely. Replace the file with one from your Media Library, find another source, or remove it. A broken file stays Broken, because it is already a problem.
Files From Your Theme
Files printed by your theme or a plugin are not in your post content, so change the setting that prints them, such as a hard-coded http:// address in a template or a site address that still starts with http.
