Undoing a fix

Broken Shortcode Fixer Beginner Last updated: October 6, 2026

Before a post is changed, its original content is saved. Undo puts it back exactly as it was.

What You’ll Learn

  • Where backups are
  • Undoing one post
  • Undoing a whole fix
  • Posts edited after the fix

Where Backups Are

Open the Backups tab to see every fix, with the date, what was done and how many posts it changed. Choose View Posts to see the posts of one fix.

Undoing One Post

Choose Compare on a row to see what a restore would change, then Restore. The content returns to the saved version and the finding is open again.

Undoing a Whole Fix

Choose Restore all on a fix to bring back every post that fix changed, a few at a time.

Posts Edited After the Fix

If a post was edited after the fix, restoring it would remove those edits, so it is marked and left alone. Restore it on its own and confirm, or tick the box to restore those posts in a whole-fix restore.

Deleting Backups

Backups stay until you delete them, one fix at a time or all at once. Deleting the plugin deletes them too, so restore first.
