Broken Shortcode Fixer Pro finds the dead shortcodes and orphaned blocks that old plugins and page builders leave in your posts, shows you exactly what would change, and fixes them in bulk with a one-click undo.
Key Features
- Site Scanner – scan every public post type for shortcodes and blocks that no longer exist, in small steps that pick up where they stopped
- Findings Report – dead shortcodes and orphaned blocks grouped by name, with how many posts use each one and the exact text in context
- Strip, Replace or Convert – remove a dead shortcode (keeping or dropping the text inside it), swap it for another shortcode, or turn an orphaned block into plain content
- Dry Run Preview – see the exact change to each post as a diff before anything is saved
- One-Click Undo – every changed post is backed up first, and a fix can be reversed per post or per fix
- Bulk Fix – tick tags or select every finding, then fix them all in resumable batches with a progress bar
- Ignore List – keep the shortcodes that should stay, so they are never reported again
- Custom Fields – scan public custom fields too, never private ones
- WP-CLI Commands – scan, list, fix, and undo from the terminal or a deployment script, with a dry run and JSON output
- Yearly or lifetime license – a year of updates and priority email support, or pay once for lifetime updates

Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a broken shortcode?
A shortcode in your content whose plugin or theme is no longer active, so WordPress prints the text as it is, such as from a gallery plugin you removed. Shortcodes that are registered and working are never reported.
Is it safe to change my posts?
Nothing changes until you choose a fix. A dry run shows the exact difference first, and every changed post is saved to a backup table so you can restore it in one click. Back up your database as well before a large cleanup.
What about shortcodes that only exist on the front end?
A shortcode registered only for visitors can look dead to a scan in the dashboard. Add it to the ignore list and it is never reported or changed.
Does it fix page builder pages?
Builders such as Elementor store their layout outside the post content, so those pages are not changed here. Search & Replace for Elementor is made for that.
Does it send my data anywhere?
No. The scan and the fixes run on your site and nothing is sent to an outside service.
Do I pay every year?
You choose. A yearly license is $35 for 1 site, $105 for 5 sites, or $295 for unlimited sites, with a year of updates and priority email support. A lifetime license is one payment of $105, $315, or $885 for the same sites, with lifetime updates.
Can I try it first?
Yes. Broken Shortcode Fixer Free scans your posts and pages and fixes them one post at a time. Pro adds bulk fixes, backups with undo, custom fields, and WP-CLI, and replaces the free version when you activate it.
What happens to my data if I delete the plugin?
Deactivating keeps everything. Deleting the plugin removes its findings, backups, and options, on every site of a network. Your posts are not touched, so restore any fix you want to undo first.
