Reading the Link Analytics

Broken Link Fixer Beginner Last updated: October 5, 2026

One scan tells you what is broken today. Analytics tells you whether your site is getting better or worse. It is built from your scans and your fixes, and it stores counts only. This guide explains each part.

What You’ll Learn

  • What the health score means
  • How the trend and the period work
  • What the fixes and 404 sections show
  • How to find the worst pages and websites

Before You Start

Analytics fills in after your first scan, and becomes more useful after a few. Until then it asks you to run one.

The Period

The Period buttons choose Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, or Everything. The period applies to the trend, the fixes, and the 404 traffic. The sections under Right now always show the latest scan.

The score shows how healthy your links are after the latest scan, and how it changed since the scan before. Broken links count fully against it, warnings count half, and redirects and dismissed links do not count at all. A score that goes up after you fix links is the quickest way to see that your work paid off.

Over Time

Issues in each scan draws broken links, warnings, and redirects per scan. Every chart has a table version of the same numbers. What you fixed counts the links you edited, unlinked, redirected, or dismissed. Missing pages visitors asked for shows the 404 Monitor traffic in the period, with a link to redirect them.

Right Now

  • Pages with the most broken links – the posts to open first
  • Websites that cause the most problems – the other websites with the most broken or blocked links, which tells you which sources to stop linking to
  • How long links have been broken – how old the broken links are, from the date each was first seen

Privacy

Only counts are used: scan totals, fix counts, and 404 totals. There are no cookies, and nothing tracks your visitors.
